HKCF advises EWP on €140 million EIB financing

Last Friday, Energie und Wasser Potsdam GmbH (“EWP”) and the European Investment Bank, with HKCF acting as advisor, signed a long-term investment loan with a 25-year tenor. The financing enables investments in Potsdam’s electricity grid and supports the implementation of the heat transition. This allowed HKCF to support EWP over the past two years in raising more than €500m of debt financing and in securing long-term funding for key infrastructure investments. The aggregate volume of financing transactions advised by HKCF in H1 2026 amounts to more than €1.6bn, across seven different clients.
